Distribution Transformers – Efficiency and Quality at the Core of the Grid
Reliable distribution transformers with experience from over 6,000 deliveries.
RE-Tech Oy has delivered more than 6,000 distribution transformers for a wide range of grid infrastructure projects across Finland. We provide expertly engineered and high-quality transformers that ensure uninterrupted power distribution in both urban and rural areas. Quality, safety, and long operational lifetime are central to all our operations.
What is a Distribution Transformer?
A distribution transformer converts medium voltage (typically 20.5 kV) to low voltage (400 V), enabling electricity to be supplied to end-users—such as buildings, homes, farms, businesses, and public infrastructure. It is a critical component of the electrical grid, directly impacting power availability and quality.
Key Advantages:
- High-quality materials and construction – built to withstand demanding Finnish weather conditions
- Environmentally friendly – new insulating oils with reduced environmental impact
- Customizable features – wide selection of power ratings and enclosure types
- Fast delivery times – optimized logistics for reliable and swift delivery
Applications
- Medium-voltage substations
- Industrial facilities and logistics centers
- Step-up transformers for solar and wind power plants
Renewable Energy Integration
RE-Tech’s distribution transformers are also used in renewable energy projects, with over 80 MVA worth of solutions delivered for solar and wind power. Our transformers are ideally suited to the varying voltage and load conditions typical of renewable generation.
